Reports To: Customer Service Supervisor

General Summary
Assist and satisfy customers in multiple areas to keep service quality at high levels.

Job Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Take pick-up orders from customers. Enter into the computer those with high volume and special requests (e.g. appointment times, billing, second shift deliveries, and interline information).
  2. Trace shipments as requested.
  3. Provide support to internal sales force.
  4. Coordinate with dispatch, claims, and rating departments on customer problems.
  5. Verify proof of delivery by phone and fax using computer imaging system.
  6. Carry out miscellaneous customer requests as needed.

Customer base. Financial information as it relates to D/C and COD status.

Working Conditions

  • Environment - Office.
  • Hours of work - Full-time days plus required overtime.

Employment/Selection Criteria

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous customer service experience.
  3. Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  4. Typing/keyboarding ability.
